Universitat Politècnica de València

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is represented by the Research group Mecanización y Tecnología Agraria (MTA). The role of UPV in PIVOS focuses on spraying equipment automation and real time monitoring of critical parameters defining spraying quality and safety. The MTA group manages three research laboratories, one machinery workshop, and an on-campus testing field. Specific equipment relevant to PIVOS includes various GPS receivers, a conventional axial fan air-assisted sprayer, a 3D sonic sensor for wind speed and direction, pump and nozzle testers, and a vertical spray scanner AAMS-Salvarani.

Universidad de Zaragoza

The Universidad de Zaragoza participates in this project through the Laboratorio de Maquinaria Agrícola, located at the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Huesca. This research group is responsible for characterizing the air flow generated by hydropneumatic sprayers in order to be able to establish its configuration in an automated way depending on the type of machine and the characteristics of the crop.
